True North Advisory is the trading name of TrueNorth Advisory Limited, company number 15369394. We are responsible for the personal information used to manage enquiries and our business relationships. The company is registered in England and Wales.

What information we use

If you email Stuart or arrange a conversation, we receive the contact details and information you provide. This may include your name, role, organisation, email address, meeting arrangements and correspondence about the work you want to discuss.

Website delivery and security services process technical connection information, such as IP addresses, browser information, requested pages and request times. These services are needed to deliver and protect the website.

Please keep an initial enquiry to what is needed to explain the assignment. We can agree an appropriate way to share confidential material if the conversation progresses.

Why we use it

We use enquiry and booking information to respond, arrange conversations, understand whether we can help and manage a potential or existing business relationship. Our legitimate interest is communicating with people who approach us about our services or a board appointment. Where you ask us to take steps towards a contract with you, or we need information to perform that contract, we rely on that basis where it applies.

We also use information where necessary to meet a legal obligation or protect the website and our business. Website security and delivery support our legitimate interest in maintaining a working, secure service.

This website has no mailing-list signup. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to a newsletter.

The services involved

Our email is configured through Microsoft 365. The booking link opens Calendly. The website is hosted through OpenAI’s Sites service, with Cloudflare providing technical delivery infrastructure. Relevant providers process information to supply their services. We may also disclose information to professional advisers or authorities when necessary for legal, accounting or dispute matters.

Calendly and LinkedIn open as separate websites. Their notices explain their own processing when you use those services. Our responsibility for the enquiry and booking information we receive continues to apply.

Providers can process information outside the UK. Their notices describe their international processing and safeguards. You can contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your data.

How long information is kept

We keep enquiry and booking information for as long as it is needed to handle the request and any related business discussion. If work proceeds, relevant records are kept for delivery and applicable legal, accounting and dispute requirements.

Retention depends on the purpose of the record, whether the business relationship continues and any requirement to keep it. We delete or anonymise information when it is no longer needed for those purposes. Technical service records are also subject to the relevant provider’s retention arrangements.

Cookies and external services

We have not added advertising pixels, visitor analytics or embedded social feeds to these pages. The fonts are served with the website. The booking service loads when you follow its link.

Hosting and security services may use cookies or similar storage for their operation. External websites have their own cookie settings. Your browser also provides controls for stored cookies and site data.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to access or correct your information, request deletion or restriction, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Portability and other rights apply where the legal conditions are met. If processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent.
